Hello gang,
First of all, Happy Valentine Day to all you ladies out there! And no, I didn't forget Mary..:).
Its been a few days since I last made a post; I've been busy as can be. Forget what you read; the boat market is still very strong and there are many buyers out there. We've been trying to get out on the hook for a weekend but there's too much work to be done.
I've listed two new boats and have two more to list too. As soon as I have each boat's details, I place them on Paradise Yachts website. I then do an email to all on my email list to let them know a new boat's on the market. This is done before I place the boat on YachtWorld and the other 42 sites I use. If you haven't been getting these emails, send me yours and I'll be sure to get you on my list so you know a new boat is available before the general public does.
Yesterday, I finally got an acceptance on the sale of the Nordhavn. We should close within two weeks. I also presented an offer for a customer on a 44 foot trawler in Ft. Myers. Looks like I'll be making the Ft. Myers through the Keys trip again as the Lake is very shallow.
For you boat shoppers out there, I don't try to sell you a boat, rather I try to find you the right boat. If I don't have just the right boat, I'll go find it. It doesn't matter where you are, I can find the boat and get it to you.
Two weeks ago I received an email from a man from Singapore who had read about me on the website. He asked my opinion about two boats that I did not have. I responded and gave him my thoughts. We conversed for the next few days via email about boats, styles, qualities, etc. Tomorrow morning, I'm picking him up at Jacksonville International Airport at 0830. I've arranged for him to look at 10 motoryachts from Hilton Head, SC to Jacksonville, FL.
He plans to preview all of the boats and pick out the model and style he likes best. After he leaves on Saturday, I'll continue to locate the best boat available, negotiate the best price for him, survey it, sea trial it and have it shipped to him in Singapore. He'll never see the boat until it reaches him.
So there you have it. If boat buying has you all wrapped up in a knot, there is an easier way.
Mike
