0700 hrs.
Photo is of sunset Saturday evening.
Yesterday I had a boat showing early in the morning and just after lunch. we cast the lines and were off. Working full time and cruising is not an easy thing to do as customers come first.
Underway, the feeling of the wind in your face, the hum of the engines, and the rush of the water under the hull made it all worth while.
Work cares were soon left at the dock. I turned my cell phone off and never turned the computer back on until this morning. Time for some R&R. With our recent schedules, Mary and I deserved it.
We grilled my famous BBQ ribs for dinner as we watched the sun set. Mary made her spectacular cole slaw too. We also tried out a new sugar-free home made ice cream recipe but it didn't turn out; back to drawing board today on that.
The temperature was in the high 50s so the Genset was not needed either when it was time to hit the rack. The only thing I remember about last night was the sound of the water lapping against the hull as I dozed off to sleep. I got up one time to check our anchor and it was perfect.
We're sitting here now, early Sunday morning with our coffee; the sun's just now up over the eastern horizon. No TV, no radio, no nothing; oh except for me on the computer. I'm connected to the Internet with a Verizon wireless card by the way; it works great.
Living aboard; this is what it's all about.
Mike
